Death Valley Knights

Formed in 2011, Death Valley Knights are a London based metal band who channel the influence of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and Megadeth.

Founded by Texan native Jake Thorsen, and London based guitarist Nikhil Talwar, 'DVK' solidified their initial line up and set about building a fan base in the London area. By the end of 2011, the Knights entered the studio with producer Phil Kinman (ex-New Device) and recorded their initial singles - Promises and Shut up and Drink, which, with the help of the Noise Cartel received air play on Kerrang radio and The Metal show, drawing comparisons to Megadeth and Black Label Society. The success of these singles was rewarded with a slot at the prestigious Bloodstock festival 2012, which saw DVK grace the same stage as Orange Goblin, Evile, Savage Messiah and a bill that featured legendary acts like Alice Cooper, Iced Earth, Machine Head and Testament. With their performance receiving strong reviews from major metal publications like Metal Hammer (7/10), the Knights re-entered the studio to finally record their debut E.P.

After a necessary line-up change which saw ex-Muted drummer Steve Brill join the band, DVK completed the E.P. and spent the summer of 2013 touring around the country to further build their fan base, supporting the likes of Savage Messiah, Reign of Fury, GloryHammer, IAMI, Trucker Diablo and many more. In December 2013 Nothing Left to Steal was released, with the lead single receiving significant air play on Kerrang Radio, The Metal Show (with Johnny Doom), Planet Rock, Team Rock radio, and the XFM Rock show. Amongst strong reviews in Kerrang (3/5), and features in Terrorizer and Metal Hammer, DVK’s profile continued to rise. With their first video about to be released, the band joined an impressive line-up for Hammerfest 2014, with their high energy show receiving a strong reception from the sold out crowd.

With upcoming performances at Metal Gods and Aces High festivals, alongside high profile support slots with the likes of Absolva, Death Valley Knights are only going to get bigger!
